Anxiety, Sobriety & Turning Your Passion Into a Business — Charlotte Archer's Story | Storme Diaries Ep.23

This week I'm joined by my 23rd guest, Charlotte Archer, for a conversation about childhood, anxiety, finding yourself, sobriety, motherhood, home births, breastfeeding and turning your passion into a business. 🤍

Welcome back to Storme Diaries 🤍

This week I'm joined by my 23rd guest, Charlotte Archer, for a conversation about childhood, anxiety, finding yourself, sobriety, motherhood, home births, breastfeeding and turning your passion into a business.

Charlotte opens up about growing up wanting a sibling and the special bond she shares with her sibling, who has additional needs. We talk about her school years, not enjoying education and finding herself immersed in the rave scene from the age of just 14.

We discuss the reality of struggling with anxiety and panic attacks, including a period when Charlotte became housebound for a few months. We explore how those experiences affected her life, the things that helped her move forward and the journey of learning to understand herself.

Charlotte shares what led her to live in Ibiza for eight years, her experiences during that chapter of her life and her relationship with psychedelics. We talk about going sober, how much her perspective on nights out changed and the realisation that sometimes you have to step away from something to understand what you actually enjoy about it.

From Ibiza, we move on to Barcelona, where Charlotte found herself living during lockdown. It was there that she discovered her love for art and began to realise that something she genuinely enjoyed could become more than just a hobby. We discuss how that passion developed into Arty Party, turning creativity into a business and having the courage to build something of your own.

We also talk about motherhood and Charlotte's experiences of having two home births, the realities of breastfeeding and how becoming a mum has shaped her life. From the decisions surrounding birth to the experiences that come with feeding and raising children, we have an honest conversation about doing things your own way and finding what works for you.

This is a conversation about growing up, finding your place in the world, navigating mental health, changing your relationship with alcohol and partying, discovering your passion and embracing motherhood on your own terms. 🤍

✨ In this episode we discuss: • Growing up wanting a sibling • The special bond with her sibling who has additional needs • Not enjoying school and finding her own path • Getting into the rave scene at just 14 • Experiencing anxiety and panic attacks • Becoming housebound for several months • Moving to Ibiza and living there for eight years • Her experiences with psychedelics • Going sober and changing her relationship with nights out • Discovering what she genuinely enjoyed without alcohol • Moving to Barcelona • Experiencing lockdown abroad • Finding her love for art • Turning her passion into a business • Creating Arty Party • Taking a chance on herself and her creativity • Becoming a mum • Having two home births • Her experiences with breastfeeding • The realities of motherhood • Personal growth, identity and doing things differently • And everything in between 🤍

Charlotte's story is a reminder that sometimes finding yourself means taking a completely different path from the one you expected. From navigating anxiety and changing her relationship with partying to discovering her creativity and building a business, her journey shows how much life can change when you begin to understand what genuinely makes you happy.

We talk about the importance of giving yourself permission to change, letting go of things that no longer serve you and finding your own way through life. Whether it's your career, your lifestyle or your experience of motherhood, there is no single right way to do things.

Because sometimes the things you discover along the way become the very things that shape your future. 🤍
