Storme Diaries is a UK-based podcast and writing project covering motherhood, fertility, grief, relationships and wellness. For any privacy question you can reach us at hello@stormediaries.com.
What we collect
If you join the newsletter, we store the email address you give us. We also collect basic, non-identifying usage data such as pages viewed and general device information, which helps us understand what people find useful. We do not ask for or store payment details, and we do not collect special category data.
How we use it
Your email address is used only to send you diary letters, new episode notes and occasional updates from Storme. Usage data is used in aggregate to improve the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Legal basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on your consent for newsletter emails, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the website for basic analytics.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove you from the mailing list and keep only the minimum record needed to make sure we do not email you again by mistake.
Cookies
The site uses only the cookies and local storage needed for it to work correctly and for simple, privacy-respecting analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.
Third parties
Some pages embed players from YouTube and Spotify. When you play embedded content, those providers may set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies. Our email and hosting providers process data on our behalf under contract.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict processing. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. To make a request, email hello@stormediaries.com. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will always be published on this page.
